Aloo Kay Samosay Urdu English Recipe for Ramadan Iftar by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  1. Flour ½ kg
  2. Oil 10 grams
  3. Carom ½ tsp
  4. Cumin Seeds ½ tsp
  5. Salt as required
  6. For filling:
  7. Potato ½ kg
  8. Finely Chopped Onion 1
  9. Green Chili 6
  10. Green Coriander ¼ bunch
  11. Mint Leaves ¼ bunch
  12. Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp
  13. Chopped Coriander 1 tbsp
  14. Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
  15. Turmeric ½ tsp
  16. Oil 3 tbsp
  17. Oil for frying
  18. Salt as required

Method:

  1. • First of all in a dish add ½ kg flour. Mix all the ingredients into flour and knead.
  2. • Leave it for 15 minutes.
  3. • Now boil ½ kg potatoes and chopped finely.
  4. • In a frying pan heat oil and add salt as required, 1 tbsp red chili powder, ½ tsp turmeric, ¼ bunch green coriander and 1 tbsp cumin seeds. Cook and sauté.
  5. • Add Potato along with green powder, mix well and turn off the flame.
  6. • After this make small paira from the kneaded flour and pour the filling into the paira.
  7. • In the end heat in hot oil.
  8. • Delicious Aalo kay Samosay is ready to serve
